I’m Claire, a UK-based travel blogger with a love for solo adventures, quirky finds, and the occasional mishap that makes a good story (nothing like missing the last train to give you a fresh perspective on travel). I’m in my thirties and still convinced that there’s always something new to explore just around the corner.
From Small Adventures to Big Journeys
I’ve travelled to over 50 countries, including plenty of UK spots that are just as stunning as anything abroad. Some of my best memories involve getting lost in the Scottish Highlands, mistaking hedges for footpaths in the Cotswolds, and once accidentally booking a stay in a “rustic” caravan that turned out to be a sheep shed. Let’s just say I have a knack for turning any trip into an adventure.

The beauty of travel, I’ve found, isn’t in checking places off a list – it’s in savouring the random moments and meeting new people, even if half of those encounters happen because I’ve gone the wrong way. Solo travel isn’t always glamorous, but it’s real, and that’s what I hope to share here.
What You’ll Find on the Blog
This blog is for everyone who loves to travel but doesn’t take themselves too seriously. Expect plenty of stories, tips for solo female travelers, and guides to off-the-beaten-path destinations. I’m big on road trips (especially with a questionable sense of direction), train journeys, and trying new foods (from street stalls to fancy restaurants – if it’s edible, I’m in). For me, adventure is more about the experience than ticking off boxes, so you’ll find lots of practical advice with a bit of humor.
If you’re ready to dive into a world of unpredictable travel tales, inspiration for solo trips, and a few missteps along the way, stick around – I think you’ll feel right at home.
